My New Website

After careful consideration I have decided to launch a new personal branded website at http://www.jamieirvine.ca.

Why the new website?

When I decided to launch InfluenceRevenue.com I was working from the entrepreneurial mindset. After a few months, I have realized that I need to work from a broader perspective to reach my goals. Since I am both an entrepreneur and I work as a sales professional I came to the conclusion that I needed to have a less business and more personal website that reflected all the work I am doing and passions that I have.

Basically, I made a mistake and although it pains me to admit it that is the truth.

After researching my options and reading books about personal branding I decided that moving to www.jamieirvine.ca was my best option. Now that my new site is live I have transferred all of the original content from InfluenceRevenue.com. Please take the time to check it out and join the mailing list to ensure that you continue to receive all of my updates.

Thank you for your support.

3 Metrics Every Business Needs to Keep an Eye On

Learn about the most important numbers in a business and how to use that information to grow your business.

Ah the books, as entrepreneurs we often shy away from really doing a deep dive on our financials. We hire a bookkeeper and set up with an accountant and we get to work doing what we know how to do best, which is anything but the books.

In my experience running a contracting business, there were three numbers that meant the most to me. These metrics always accurately told me what was going on in my business. Continue reading “3 Metrics Every Business Needs to Keep an Eye On”

Social Selling – 10 Steps to Making a Sale (3-minute read)

Learn about a social media strategy that actually produces results.

Social selling is a buzzword term but it has become so much more than that. I don’t think you are going to see people use the term social selling in the future, it’s just going to be called selling. The reality is that outbound B2B salespeople should be using social media accounts now and if they are not, they will be, if they want to stay relevant and profitable. These social tools, like smartphones, email, and CRM software will become standard tools for all salespeople.

For now, we can define social selling this way:

Social selling is when salespeople use social media to interact directly with their prospects. Salespeople will provide value by answering prospect questions and offering thoughtful content until the prospect is ready to buy.” – HubSpot

Now that we understand what social selling is let’s discuss how you can use it to influence your revenue to grow. Continue reading “Social Selling – 10 Steps to Making a Sale (3-minute read)”
